UEFA Europa League Overview
The UEFA Europa League, previously known as the UEFA Cup, is an annual football club competition organized by UEFA, the governing body of European football. It is the second-tier European club competition, after the UEFA Champions League. The competition was founded in 1971 as the UEFA Cup, and was renamed the UEFA Europa League in 2009.
